We invite you to attend the second online Educational Seminar on "The NARRATE Digital Platform: A tool for Recording, Documenting and promoting Ecclesiastical Artifacts," which will take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2024, from 19:00–20:15.

The seminar will feature distinguished speakers from academia and experts in digital documentation and ecclesiastical history. Our invited speakers will present the results of the NARRATE research project: "Needs for Digital Recording and Documentation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Treasures in Monasteries and Churches". Following this, there will be a "tour" of the NARRATE digital platform, including user instructions and examples of its applications.

The School of Social Theology and Christian Culture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is organizing the Online Educational Seminar on "Documentation of Ecclesiastical Treasures", which will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM (GMT+3). The seminar will feature a presentation of the NARRATE Research Program: 'Needs for digital recording and documentation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Treasures in monasteries and temples'. The following topics will also be discussed:

  • Ecclesiastical cultural treasures: definition-management-documentation
  • Christian Thrace - History and culture from the first century to the present day
The seminar will feature distinguished speakers from the academic field, researchers, and experts in digital documentation and ecclesiastical history.

We are currently holding Bi-Weekly meetings to coordinate the activities that have to do with the Work Package 3 which is about the Implementation and User Evaluation of the NARRATE Framework!

Stakeholders Questionnaire

The questionnaires that will investigate the needs of potential users of the NARRATE framework, are in the progress of getting distributed! Many stakeholders around Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey have already filled them out!

In March 2023, Dr. Tatiana Ivanova and Dr. Vencislav Karavalchev presented the NARRATE project in a meeting with employees of the History Museum in Burgas, Bulgaria. During the public event, staff and teachers followed the presentation and actively participated in the discussion that followed. Most expressed willingness to cooperate!

The Kickoff Meeting of the project took place on 24th of January, 2023. This marks the launch of the project with 5 Partners from 4 different countries; Cognitive UX GmbH (Germany), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), International Hellenic University (Greece), Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), and Kültürel Mirası Koruma Derneği (Türkiye).
